I’ve been thinking so much lately about how much I want to lose my extra flab and how I want it gone NOW! Isn’t there a way that I can lose it in 30 days? Wait, what April?  Are you really going there? Okay, I can’t be the only one guilty of wanting what I’ve done in one week to get me exactly where I want to be. I know, I know! Slap me on the wrist. Being impatient about losing weight and considering quick fixes NEVER was the answer and it isn’t Heavenly Father’s plan either.

I have had to take a step back and reevaluate my fitness goals and how I can healthily attain them. Yes, even I need to take a step back sometimes. I try so hard to be a great example but quite frankly I’ve had a terrible Fall and Winter and if anyone out there is listening and really wants the details, I’ll post them. I have been and am an open book and as far as I’m concerned it’ll show you just how human I am.

All that being said, this quote by Richard G. Scott says it all, “We become what we want to be by consistently being what we want to become each day.”  Fake it till you make it!  That means if I or anyone else wants to be healthy then paint your picture of health and stick to it. If your picture of health includes a Whole Food diet and eating ice cream on Saturday night or treats for FHE then start now.  If this is the balance I am going to choose the consequence is it will take a bit longer to achieve my goals but I will be consistent and happy instead of forcing myself to be SUPER rigid and fall off the wagon.  What is your consistent going to be?

At the moment, my consistent looks like not missing a workout and really paying attention to what my body is telling me.

Great reminder! Balance, patience, and consistency…
