I’m so excited to introduce to you Nataly and Greg. I got an email from here a few days ago telling me their story. Each time I get an email like this I feel humbled. I understand how difficult it is to be open and candid. I’m so happy that they feel like we have provided a safe place where they can feel supported through their journey of becoming a #FitMormon. In her note below she said it well when she said, “So, I’m working every day to remember scripture, prayer, wholesome eating, EXERCISE and gratitude!” This is what being a #FitMormon is all about. It’s not becoming skinny or looking HOT. That wasn’t on her list. It’s caring for both our inside and outside in a manner pleasing to our Heavenly Father. Sometimes that does involve losing weight.
I’m so glad to find your blog (thanks FB)! I’ve recently started working out and cleaning up my diet. My husband has diabetes and has been controlling it with diet and exercise for about three years-he’s lost 70 lbs over that time and has kept it off!
When his diagnosis first happened…we worked out together and I lost 35 lbs myself! I got off track (laziness and excuses) and gained back all my weight and then some! I’m really sick of carrying around this extra weight!
Thankfully, the hubs got a family membership at the local gym! But, even though I’ve spent lots of time in a gym, I felt overwhelmed and totally intimidated! So I started doing research online-gathering workout plans, healthy eating information. Etc. Thats how I found you!
It’s so nice to find a site that incorporates the gospel! Losing weight is really a lifestyle change and boy do I need it! I’ve been a member my whole life…and after this recent conference, recognized a need for refocus and committing to the basics (again)! So, I’m working every day to remember scripture, prayer, wholesome eating, EXERCISE and gratitude!
I’ve got 45 lbs to lose and I’m so motivated! Time to get “more fit for the kingdom”!
